I went out to the hutch in the rain this morning. I looked inside and I saw a little egg in the clementine box!
YAY!!!!!!! First egg from my new hens!
So in 2 weeks, I can start collecting for a new hatch batch!

Sourdough Dinner Rolls for Zombie Day
The only photo I took on Sunday, pre-baked rolls.
My daffodils bloomed that morning.
The rabbit I cooked was delish! I braised it in rabbit stock & Killian's beer with carrots, onions & garlic. We also had garlic smashed red skins & a salad. My sister brought deviled eggs & brownies. I love rabbit meat.
Let me tell you....
These dinner rolls turned out amazing! I made the whole recipe and had to freeze half of it. There was only four of us, so I couldn't make all 16 rolls! In a couple weeks, I will bake the rest. I used this recipe from Phoo-d's blog. Her picture inspired me to bake some dinner rolls. Mine didn't get as golden brown, but I'm not complaining.

I can forsee the future
Rpeek- Home Made Banjo-in' and Hot Roddin'
He shares my husband's name, but he makes banjos out of gas cans!
I love this.
Earlier this year, I talk to Dicky about growing gourds to make simple stringed instruments. He was all about it.
I've showed him the Rpeek channel when I was first learning to play. He said it was like looking into the future; black frame glasses and full beard.
Last night, I practiced drop thumb in bed. I find it more comfortable to sit in bed and play. Two dogs on the bed and kitty perched on the head board. I switched between the bum-ditty & drop thumb for 30mins. I can now play "Old Molly Hare" with alternating drop thumb.
I am so proud of myself.
Next post..... Easter Dinner.
We do not celebrate Easter for religious reasons. It will be another Sunday family dinner, which we do every week.
This weeks menu does reflect the season. My sister is picking up a Meat Rabbit for dinner. We've never eaten rabbit.
I am very excited to try this meat source. I will be making a small roast chicken in case someone doesn't like it.

Mud Season
Look!!!
Even though I switched blogs, fiber will still be apart of it.
Spinning is apart of me.
I haven't stopped
This lovely dyed bump of fiber has been in my stash since 2005. Yes it has sit in the dark, neglected and buried under other fiber. I am so sorry Mud Season for not spinning you sooner. I love how this stuff came out.
Mud Season from Spunky Eclectic
6oz 2-ply Superwash Merino
7wpi (chunky)
Left (88yards)
Right (70 yards)
I split the roving in half, spun , & Andean plied each half. They are fraternal twins. It's bouncy & wonderful.
I banish you back in to my stash. I'll see you in the winter!

Thank you Thelma & Louise (the ducks)!
Spring is here
Last night I knit at W.A.B. Wow, what a turn out! It was great hanging out with everyone.

Better but I can't hear
The yard is greening more and more everyday.
My garlic & quail are growing nicely!
Quail are 4.1/2 weeks old.
I've separated my girls from the boys over the weekend. I weighed all the males and put the largest one back in with my female trio.
The largest male weighed out to 181 grams! The other males averaged 150-170g. What a Whopper!
Couple more weeks until I get eggs!
I acquired fencing from my Step-FIL over the weekend. He gifted us with 25 feet of fencing with 8 t-posts.
It's killing me that I have to wait until the weekend to put the fencing up. I've been looking online to see what everyone else uses are a gate. I found this picture PVC Pipe gate! Just enough to keep my dogs out of the beds!
My salad bowl raised bed is ready for planting. This is the raised bed I made with cinder blocks last year. The plan is lettuce, carrots & radishes in the main area. In the cider block holes, I want to plant mint & other invasive herbs!
I promise more picture this year! I'm been slacking

Old Molly Hare
Old Molly Hare a video by Pixiefarts on Flickr.
I'm participating in the Banjo Equinox over at ColdAntlerFarm.blogspot.com
This is the first song "Old Molly Hare" from Wayne Erbsen book "Clawhammer Banjo for the Complete Ignoramus!"
Be Kind, I've never played a stringed instrument before. I started practicing in January goofing around. I'm having an issue keeping tempo with some notes.
